Onity, the hotel solutions provider, has announced it will be showcasing its most innovative hotel security systems next month at The Hotel Show, as the company continues its campaign to tap into the burgeoning hotel development projects underway in the region.

Onity’s new Proximity lock will be on show for the first time for Middle East hotel developers at the region’s leading hotel supplies event, which takes place 17- 19 May. The Proximity lock works with ISO standard non proprietary cards making it inexpensive and the best platform for future multi applications.
The opening speed of 210ms makes it the fastest in the market and eliminates customer frustration by ensuring successful opening on the first attempt.

The technology behind Proximity allows the same hotel to use proximity locks in some doors and magnetic or Smart card e-locks in others, all managed by the same Onity system. The magnetic and Smart card e-locks, which are already in use in several hotels in the region such as The Fairmont Dubai and Marriott Executive Apartments Dubai, can also be easily and economically be upgraded to feature Proximity technology.

Ideally suited to the Middle East, the Proximity lock functions in extreme weather conditions and can withstand 95% humidity levels without condensation.
