Galadari Investment Office (GIO), the luxury holding division of GALVEST, officially launched its ‘G Emporium’ development and collaboration with exclusive interiors partner yoo. The launch event showcased to an audience of 300 a new era in high-design branded property.

Celebrated designer Philippe Starck is responsible for one of the project’s interiors, which includes two properties - the residential G Tower and commercial G Office. yoo will be incorporating his signature style into both the yoo by Starck and yoo @ work collections.

“To set this project apart we have concentrated on translating the ideas of art and culture into a physical structure, adding a new dimension to Middle East property development. By infusing this concept into the G Emporium we have created a balance of form and function to create an artistically inspired sanctuary for residents,” said Rashid AW Galadari, Chairman of GIO.

The G Tower integrates two distinct themes, nature and culture, which will utilise light, textures, styles and colours to deliver different experiences to the resident.

The G Office is the most recent addition to GIO’s growing property portfolio. The 45-storey tower will boast exceptional services such as a 24-hour valet and concierge service, advanced building management systems and open-air communal sky decks.

Interiors for the commercial tower have been designed by yoo @ work which counts London and Copenhagen among its other high-profile projects.

Speaking at the event, Chairman of yoo John Hitchcox commented: “Philippe and I established yoo in 1999 so that we could mesh design and project development expertise to create extraordinary living spaces. In 2004 we established yoo@work which concentrates on commercial spaces. With GIO we have Philippe as the interiors concept creator for both towers to add his unique flair and personal touch.”

Construction has already started on the G Tower and is due for completion in 2010. The G Office is scheduled to start phase one work soon and will be completed at the same time.
